What to know before your tour

Have you shared with us your allergies/dietary preferences? We do our best to work with sensitivities and dietary preferences related specifically to gluten (not ideal for celiacs), seafood, nuts, vegetarian (not ideal for vegans) and non-alcoholic beverages. Any sensitivities or preferences must be disclosed no later than 24 hours before the tour. No alternatives are provided once the tour has started.

IMPORTANT : Note that our food partners can not guarantee without trace and it is your responsibility to bring your medication in case of an allergic reaction. 

By arriving early, you can use our restroom, enjoy the cold water dispenser at the office and put on sunscreen offered for free.

During winter times, we can also lend you our comfortable winter accessories to stay warm or you can rent them.

For the best experience, make sure you dress with weather-appropriate clothing (layers are recommended since Quebec City’s weather changes constantly) and wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sunglasses.

In Quebec City, gratuity is a standard practice. Depending on your appreciation and the type of service, it is an amount of 10% to 20% that is recommended. It is however not mandatory, but very appreciated.

If you wish to leave a gratuity to your tour guide, plan bringing cash or have the guide give you his or her online gratuity link to safely give it by credit card. You should receive an automated email including the link after the tour however please feel free to send a message at [email protected] requesting it.

When you begin your tour at our office at 112 Saint-Paul Street, we offer complimentary loans of winter boots and accessories to ensure a more enjoyable experience in cold weather. You will also have the option to rent the equipment for your stay if needed.
