Ideal for people staying in Old Quebec | The lobby or the main door of your hotel/airbnb

Ideal for people staying outside of Old Quebec | The Tourny Fountain (Upper Town), the Maison Historique Chevalier (Lower Town, near the ferry) or our office at 112 rue Saint-Paul (Lower Town in the Old Port).

Upper Town

Explore the neighbourhood around the Château Frontenac, City Hall and much more at your own pace and according to your interests. Usually, the guide takes you through 1 or 2 galleries.

Funicular

Take the Funicular to the Upper Town Old Quebec to avoid walking up the steep hill named Côte de la Montagne.

If the funicular is closed for maintenance, you will be offered to take a taxi with your group to avoid walking uphill or walking up the hill at a moderate pace and receive a funicular ticket to use later.

Lower Town

Explore Place Royale, Quartier Petit Champlain and much more at your own pace and according to your interests.

Usually, the guide takes you through 2 or 3 galleries

End Point

The tour ends where you want it to end. You can choose to end in an area where you want to eat or shop or your hotel for example.

What to know before your tour

Have you shared with us your allergies/dietary preferences? We do our best to work with sensitivities and dietary preferences related specifically to gluten (not ideal for celiacs), seafood, nuts, vegetarian (not ideal for vegans) and non-alcoholic beverages. Any sensitivities or preferences must be disclosed no later than 24 hours before the tour. No alternatives are provided once the tour has started.

IMPORTANT : Note that our food partners can not guarantee without trace and it is your responsibility to bring your medication in case of an allergic reaction. 

By arriving early, you can use our restroom, enjoy the cold water dispenser at the office and put on sunscreen offered for free.

During winter times, we can also lend you our comfortable winter accessories to stay warm or you can rent them.

For the best experience, make sure you dress with weather-appropriate clothing (layers are recommended since Quebec City’s weather changes constantly) and wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sunglasses.

In Quebec City, gratuity is a standard practice. Depending on your appreciation and the type of service, it is an amount of 10% to 20% that is recommended. It is however not mandatory, but very appreciated.

If you wish to leave a gratuity to your tour guide, plan bringing cash or have the guide give you his or her online gratuity link to safely give it by credit card. You should receive an automated email including the link after the tour however please feel free to send a message at [email protected] requesting it.
